Teaching American History Grants
We believe that a sophisticated understanding of American history is critical
to developing an active and engaged citizenry. We understand that
educators face a wide array of demands, making it increasingly difficult to
dedicate significant time to further studying their subject matter.
Additionally, a number of educators are assigned to teach American history
though they did not major in American history in their undergraduate or
graduate studies.
As a result, this program works with schools in obtaining the Teaching
American History grant to foster increased content knowledge for those
who teach American history.
Our professors provide illuminating lectures and discourse related to
content matter that educators can use in class. Our master teachers work
with educators to utilize Marzano high-yield strategies to ensure that this
content is delivered in a way which maximizes student attainment.
We partner with organizations that can provide additional resources related
to this grant. We work with the collaborating schools and agencies to
ensure that this grant meets the needs and objectives of the local school
district.
